Propane Tank Serial Number Lookup

If you’ve been following along with our blogs for grilling tips, tricks, and recipes for any amount of time now, you are probably well aware of one of our favorite phrases–when you buy a propane tank, you unlock a world of culinary possibilities. This particular phrase is easy to apply to grilling during the summer where every night can be spent enjoying some time in front of the grill. Summer staples like burgers, brats, hot dogs, chicken wings, steaks, and fish are easy to make every night of the week.

The familiarity with propane most often is tied to grilling, but it does so much more than that. Propane is used for heating, cooking, materials handling, on and off-road vehicles, back up power supply, and a number of industrial processes. Propane is used to supply entire communities when. When you venture out to the propane tank, check for a sticker or something that identifies the company servicing the tank. If there are no stickers on the tank, open the dome and see if there is anything identifying a propane gas company such as a tag, sticker or something that gives the name and number of a propane company.

When the weather gets a bit chillier and people start to want a bit more variety with regards to what they’re eating, it gets just a bit trickier. Adding fall flavors to your meals doesn’t have to be a huge undertaking though. In today’s blog, we’ll take a look at how just a little bit of thought and planning can transform a meal into an autumnal cornucopia of fall flavors. Wondering how you can do this for yourself? Keep reading, because we have a few tips for taking a grilled steak into a whole new season in today’s blog!

Let’s Get Started

Propane

An average meal in the summer might consist of a steak, a baked potato, and some green beans. It’s easy to make and simple to prepare with just a few ingredients, but it’s full of flavor and it’s a hit with everyone in the family. With a little bit of tweaking, we can use similar ingredients to transform the flavor profile of this meal into something more fitting of the season at hand.

For example, you could stick with the steak, but swap out your normal baked potato for a baked sweet potato. Rather than green beans, you could grill up some zucchini or squash. In this particular instance, these changes go a long way towards giving you the steak you’re craving, but with a bit of fall flair that makes it more seasonally appropriate. Let’s take a look at a few more fall recipes that incorporate steak as a main ingredient.

Steak and Eggs

Is there anything that screams it’s fall more than breakfast for dinner? For some, biscuits and gravy is the best way to enjoy a breakfast food during the night, but our favorite has to be steak and eggs. Give this recipe a try and we think you’ll agree! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Your favorite steak
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Eggs
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Seasoned salt
  • Black pepper

Not only is this recipe huge on flavor, but you’ll notice that the list of ingredients isn’t particularly big. The good news is that it’s also incredibly easy to make. To get started, fire up your grill and cook your steak to your personal preference. You’ll be grilling it however you like it best, so feel free to use whichever method you prefer to cook your steak to perfection.

In the meantime, use a cheese grater to grate your sweet potato into a hash and heat up a bit of butter in a cast iron skillet. Season your sweet potatoes with seasoned salt and black pepper, and toss them into the skillet. Place the lid on your skillet and cook, tossing your sweet potato hash occasionally and allowing it to cook through completely. You’ll know it’s ready when you end up with that slightly crunchy texture and golden brown appearance.

Here’s where you can really get creative. At this point you can either plate your sweet potato hash browns and make your eggs in the skillet. Whether you prefer them sunny side up, over medium, or even scrambled is entirely up to you. Our preference, however, is to simply crack a few eggs directly into the skillet with your sweet potato hash browns and cook everything together. It’s quick and easy and the end result is something that’s truly delicious. However you prefer to do it, add a bit of cheddar cheese at the end and make sure that it’s nice and melty.

The final step is to plate your dish (your steak and the hash should be done at about the same time) and enjoy the unique flavors that come together so perfectly. It really doesn’t get much better than this.

Grilled Stew

Wait a second, what is a grilled stew, you might ask? It’s actually even easier than you might think. Rather than simply tossing some chunks of raw meat into a stew and cooking it for hours, you’ll grill the steak beforehand. This imparts an incredible flavor to your stew and helps to add an additional layer of complexity to a fall favorite.

This one’s so easy it doesn’t even need a recipe! Simply grill your steak, erring on the side of undercooking it. Your goal is to get nice grill marks, so be sure to sear it over high heat. Next, boil potatoes, celery, and carrots together in a pot until they are soft, but not mushy. Add a dash of salt and pepper, a can of diced tomatoes, and your grilled steak (chopped into bite-sized pieces) and then allow it to simmer until everything comes together. Serve immediately and enjoy the flavors of fall that warm you in a way that only stew can.
