MPDroid – MPDroid allows you to control a MPD server (Music Player Daemon) and stream from it. It is a fork of PMix. Platforms: Android. Support for adding to playlist files outside mpd music directory (requires mpd = 0.14alpha.) support for browsing local directories tree (requires mpd = 0.14alpha.) support for searching in current playlist; many bugfixes; ncmpcpp-0.2.4 (2008-10-12) fixed bug with not null terminated strings on mac os x; support for renaming files in tiny. You can directly view, modify or priorize songs of your current music queue. You can also create new playlists, play your available playlists or add them to the current music queue.

It took me more time than expected, but I finally got the beast properly compiled and bundled for Mac OS X.

So now some explanation. In my previous post, I explained roughly how to compile Claws on Mac OS X. Since then, I have successfully embedded the whole application in a bundle, and made an image of it. More information are available on the developper page.

Next step : recompile using GTK+ natively on Mac OS X.

Practical Music Search is an open source client for the Music Player Daemon, written in C++ and ncurses. The target audience are power users who need an MPD client that is highly configurable.
